<P>In web design in school, I learned how to write HTML code. It is fun to use, at least for me. Web design is an <I>easy</I> class, but it is one of my favorite. Maybe it is one of my favorite because it is easy.

<BR/>

One of the things that I&apos;m doing on my own with HTML is using it to create the &quot;Computer Wide Web&quot; on my Windows 98 computer that isn&apos;t connected to the Internet. I have so far made the &quot;Internet&quot; homepage, my page, another blog that is attached to my page, and my parody of Google, Gargle. It even comes with an &quot;I&apos;m Feeling Chunky&quot;button. This is my favorite page. No matter what you type in the search box, if you click the &quot;Gargle Search&quot; button or the &quot;I&apos;m Feeling Chunky&quot; button, it will come up with a &quot;Your search did not match any documents&quot; page. It is my pride and joy of my Computer Wide Web.

I am really glad that I took this class. It has helped me understand web pages more.</P>

High School

· General, School

So far my first year of high school has gone pretty well. It is way better than junior high, and it is way different, too. I am liking my classes a lot, and have some pretty awesome teachers. I also like how we can carry backpacks to our classes. It makes it very useful, because I won't have to carry two textbooks at a time. Also, everything I need is just right on the ground next to me. I think that chemistry is going to be fun and hard, but other than that, it should be a great year.

This last night was the orchestra concert for all the orchestras. It was pretty fun, and I think that we all did pretty good! During the advanced orchestra's performance, I got to go up to the tech booth for a little while. It's nothing special, but I had never been up there before! I don't get why there is a sink up there, but I'm sure that there is (or was) a reason! I did actually have a good time!

Parent Training

· General, School

This past week totally SUCKED!

It was my 9th grade class, Teen Living. I really didn't enjoy the flour baby that I got at first. I had to get up at 2:00 every night, and "walk" it around for fifteen minutes. That wasn't fun. Then, on Tuesday, I traded my flour baby for a mechanical baby. I had two choices: The baby with the moving head that you have to support, and has one key that you have to hold in the back of the baby for up to ten minutes, or the baby with five keys. One is diaper change, another burp, feed, attention, and panic. We weren't supposed to use the panic key.

I chose the baby with five keys.

It smelled like a baby that fell into a swimming pool full of fowl-smelling rubber. I don't think that I can explain it anymore, because it's a little hard. I do like the smell of babies, however, but that smell was bad! At night, I ended up waking up to the baby crying at 12:00 at night. About seven minutes later, just as I was falling back to sleep, the baby started crying. I picked up the baby, turned it on it's stomach for about two seconds, while I unzipped the back of the clothing. I was turning it upright, while I was starting to insert a key, and simultaneously thought what my teacher said about not laying the baby on it's stomach, or else it will cry, and also at the same time seeing the "Abuse" light turn on. I swear on the bible, looking at my great, great, great grandmother's gravestone, and standing on the grave, looking toward Heaven, ready to stick a needle in my eye, and crossing my heart at the same time, that I did not do anything to abuse that mechanical baby!!! I was so frustrated, that I decided that I wasn't going to pay any attention to it anymore. Then, as I was laying in bed, trying to fall asleep again, I realized how much I hated jumping at every noise that the baby made, and also that it might help kill my grade in the class if I neglect the baby as well as "abuse" it. I decided that since I probably wasn't going to get much sleep anyway, I would stay up with the baby. I headed downstairs to the couch. I saw my dad sitting on the couch. He was kind of asleep. I turned around, and decided that I wouldn't bother him. He saw me just as I was leaving, and said my name. I turned around, and to make a long story short, my dad ended up leaving to go to bed (gee I wonder why) I stayed up with that baby on the couch. I watched TV until I felt drowsy. It was around 2:30 when I slowly laid down on the couch. I don't want you to get the idea that the baby stopped crying, because it hadn't. I slowly drifted to sleep. I woke up at 2:45, 3:00 and 3:30 and that was the last time that baby cried until it was 6:15. What a night!

I was glad to give the baby back, and trade it for the flour sack. (Which I turned in today!)

81/365, and then I failed....

First of all, I would like to say that I have a reason why I haven't blogged or posted on Project 365 in a long while. I have had a lot of work to do at school, and in the middle of catching up to the first semester, I think that I couldn't have possibly juggled anything more. So now I am caught up, but I have some sad news. I missed a day on Project 365, March 23. I am still going to continue on Project 365, because the point is not to get all of the days, it is to get better at photography. I just was sad because I still wanted to get all of the days. Oh, well. There's still next year!

Foods the Next A Day

· General, School

Well, the next school day after I blogged about not having food labs in foods class, I went to foods, and we had a food lab. Maybe I should blog about not having enough food labs more often....

Foods

· General, School

I decided at the beginning of the year to take a freshmen foods class. It started at the beginning of the second semester. So far, it has gone completely different than I expected. I thought that there was going to be a lot more cooking going on, and a lot less paperwork. Yeah, there has been exactly ONE food lab, and much, much more papers than I expected. Hey, I didn't say it wasn't fun, because it is, but I thought that it was going to be much funner. Actually, the class has inspired me to make better food, and make it while thinking about safety. I mean by safety, about cross-contamination, not getting burned, stuff like that.

The foods teacher is great. She is really nice, and she definitely knows what she is talking about. You can tell just by the way she talks that she is a foods teacher. Instead of calling somebody stupid, or dumb, she always says stuff like "No, that's not how you do it! You guys are a bunch of dough heads." But the tone of voice she uses is fun, and there is no way how you could get anything mean out of those sentences. I am pretty sure that after we get all of the papers done about what the names of different kitchen tools, we should be getting more food labs. Well, it should be fun!

Wow! Long time! By the way...

It HAS been a long time since I've posted! I really had nothing to blog about! Except that school got out a few days ago for Cristmas -- sorry -- "Winter" vacation. *Eh-hem* Some people take offence in some other people calling it Christmas vacation, because it implies religion! % ) Yeah, anyway, I've got some cool pics from some of the Mindstorms projects I've been doing. I would post them too, but I'm having problems again.

Merry Christmas

Happy Decemberween

Happy New Year

(And for those Scrooges out there) Merry/Happy Winter!
