As you might have heard, there is a lot of sickness going around. Unfortunately, I am one of the people who got it. It started with a small sore throat at school one day, and it grew to a really bad one by the time I got home. It hurt to even swallow. Then, the next day, it grew to a bad sore throat, an aching body, and often a large headache. I was not happy. Not only did I have a bad cold, I wasn't getting enough sleep. I have rehearsals for a play 'till 10:00. That doesn't sound very late, and it isn't, but when you're sick, it is. But, I guess you could say that I am getting over it. Sort of.
Tomorrow, I start school again. So before I get busy on school work, and forget completely about this blog, I will tell you what happened over my Christmas vacation. I will start with Christmas. We'll skip to what I got for Christmas. I got an iPod Classic, a Wii, a cool color sensor for my Lego Mindstorms, and an iHome for my iPod, so I can listen to music without my ears hurting after a while from the earphones.
For the Wii, I got the games, the Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess, Super Mario Galaxy, Super Paper Mario, Wii Sports, Wii Games, and Guitar Hero 3. My three top favorites are Zelda, Guitar Hero 3, and Wii Sports. Believe me, there is a difference between Wii sports and Wii games.
On my iPod, I already have quite a few movies, and tons of music on it. I am enjoying the very fact that I can even put movies on it. (My other iPod was old enough that the only color in the thing was the top four buttons when you turn on the back light) My Christmas vacation was very fun, and I am not overly excited for it to be over.
School has started again....And I'm not happy about it. Actually, I started 8th grade a while ago, but I haven't caught up on the blog until just recently, I mean today! Well I've got more homework to attend to.
Hmmm.......x+e=9+t-s3.....243?
First, I'd like to say sorry for not writing a post for a while. Particle Man is still alive. Nowww...To The Subject!!! I went to a family reunion in Eden just this past Thursday, and arrived home on Sunday. It - was - FUN!!! I had a great time there and got to see my family that I barely knew even existed! However my favorite part next to fencing, ( Yah, I got to fence! :D ) was horseback riding for two hours! I had an amazing time considering that riding horses is my favorite thing to do.
Well, I'm finally back home...to stay. I can't wait to sleep in my own bed again. I just got back home from Scofeild and earned five merit badges! I am really proud of myself. I am sunburned and just want to go to bed and take a nap, so goodbye for today.
Sadly, my vacation is over. Now it's just Scout Camp. On my vacation we went through Wyoming into South Dakota to see Mount Rushmore, and saw Wind cave, and Jewel Cave. It was exciting! Going into a cave is sort of scary at first, but, after a while, I forgot completely that we were underground!
If you want to see stalactites, and stalagmites, then this is not the place to be. There is mostly cave formations such as popcorn, box work, nail head spars, and dog tooth spars. However I think that the stuff in Wind Cave and Jewel Cave are just as exciting as stalactites and stalagmites.
I got tons of good pictures of Mount Rushmore in South Dakota. It was also very fun to see the very same mountain you see on the movies. It was a very good area to practice the rule of thirds (If you know what that means) on my camera.
Last Monday, we went to a Mormon Pioneer Memorial right next to Devils gate. We got to hike up to Martin's Cove and back pulling a covered handcart. It was amazingly tiring, and I don't know how the pioneers did it! Yesterday, on our way home, we stopped by there again, and got a chance to see the reenactment of the Pony Express Trail. There were horses ridding down that trail. I got a pamphlet that talked about the Trail. It also had a map of where the riders would have ridden.
Over all, I had a good vacation. Now just for Scout Camp....
We (my family) are going on vacation this week. Well, next week. We are going to visit Mount Rushmore, and do other cool stuff on our...Twelve Hour Drive..., and have a wonderful vacation. When we get back on Saturday, I will go to Scout camp at Scofield.
Now, I told you the camp I am going to, but don't look for "your hero Particle Man". There are going to be a ton of boys there, and it will take days for you to even get close to finding me. But I will watch my back for the hundreds of fans pushing their way through the campsite. ;)
